Alkaloid Betadine Ovul contains free Iodine as the active substance. This is an antiseptic that kills bacteria, fungi and some protozoa. 
  • Betadine is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic vaginitis due to mixed infections, nonspecific infections (bacterial vaginitis caused by Gardnerella vaginalis ), fungal infections, Trichomonas vaginalis infections , in adults. 
  • Treatment of vaginal infections secondary to treatment ëith antibiotics or corticosteroids in adults.
  • Apply the product exactly as your doctor recommended.
  • The doctor will determine the dosage and duration of treatment depending on the nature of the disease.
  • The recommended dosage is 1 ovule at dinner.
  • Therapy usually lasts 14 days and can be continued for up to 3 weeks if needed.
  • Betadine ovules are intended for vaginal (external) use only.
