Maalox Maux D'Estomac * 40

Maalox Maux D'Estomac is used to treat the symptoms of too much stomach acid such as stomach upset, heartburn, and acid indigestion.

• Aluminum and Magnesium antacids work quickly to lower the acid in the stomach. Liquid antacids usually work faster/better than tablets or capsules.

• Heartburn.
• Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (rise of gastric content in the oesophagus) in adults above 15 years old.
• Inflammation of the stomach (gastritis).
• Lowering the amount of acid in your stomach or gut (intestine) when you have an ulcer

This medication works only on existing acid in the stomach. It does not prevent acid production. It may be used alone or with other medications that lower acid production (including H2 blockers such as cimetidine/ranitidine and proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole).

• Always read the leaflet or consult with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Maalox.
• Pass or chew 1-2 tablets to treat heartburn and food reflux. Maximum 6 times a day, but not more than 12 tablets per day.
• Do not use for more than 10 consecutive days. If you have the impression that the effect of Maalox is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
