Nutriben Natal 1 Pro-α is a baby formula, suitable for newborns and onwards, when breastfeeding is not possible or insufficient. It encourages your baby’s balanced development.

The main differentiating feature of this formula is that it contains whey protein concentrate enriched with alpha-lactalbumin, the main protein in breast milk, that:

  • Allows reduction of the amount of proteins, which guarantees a proper amino acid profile that is similar to that of breast milk.
  • Decreases the risk of obesity in adult life, as it reduces the amount of proteins..
  • Improves digestibility of proteins because it has a similar composition to breast milk.
  • Reduces renal solute load by reducing the amount of proteins.
  • Reduces allergenicity of proteins, by increasing the amount of alpha-lactalbumin and decreasing beta-lactoglobulin.
The formula also contains many nutrients that are essential for your baby’s development.

  1. ARA and DHA, encourage proper development of the Central Nervous System and proper development of visual function.  
  2. Lactose, the same carbohydrate as breast milk, that encourages development of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus: prebiotic effect.  
  3. Prebiotics help growth of bifidobacteria that are found in the colon, obtaining all their benefits and strengthen the immune system.
  4. Nucleotides improve intestinal development, vaccine response and iron absorption.
  5. Inositol important for lung development and prevents development of retinopathy and necrotising enterocolitis.
  6. Minerals such as Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Selenium, Iodine.
  7. Vitamins such as vitamin D, C, vitamin A and B complex.



Dosage:

  • Age 0-2 weeks: 2 levelled scoops dissolved in 60 ml of boiled water. There are recommended 8 feeds per day.
  • Age 2-8 weeks: 3 levelled scoops dissolved in 90 ml of boiled water. There are recommended 7 feeds per day
  • Age 2-3 months: 5 levelled scoops dissolved in 150 ml of boiled water. There are recommended 5 feeds per day.
  • Age 3-6 months: 6 levelled scoops dissolved in 180 ml of boiled water. There are recommended 5 feeds per day.
  • Age 6 months and onwards: 8 levelled scoops dissolved in 240 ml of boiled water. There are recommended 4 feeds per day.
