Basiflux is used orally, whose active substance is bromhexina. This substance works by increasing the amount of secretions while reducing their viscosity.
Basiflux is a mucolytic adjuvant in the bacterial treatment of respiratory infections in the presence of bronchial hypersecretion.
1 ml Basiflux contains 0.8 mg bromhexine hydrochloride.
Basiflux does not contains sugar, so it is suitable for diabetics and childrens.
Dosage and method of administration:
Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 3 times a day.
Children 6-12 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoon), 3 times a day.
Children 2-6 years: 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon), 3 times a day.
Children under 2 years: 1.25 ml (1/4 teaspoon) 3 times a day. (Should only be given to children under 2 years of age under medical supervision).
