Hidroferol 0.266 MG contains a form of Vitamin D, Calcifediol, which is used to treat vitamin D deficiency and related problems. Vitamin D intervenes in the human body, among other actions, increasing the absorption of calcium.  

• Hidroferol 0.266 mg capsules are indicated for the treatment of vitamin D deficiency in adults and to prevent vitamin D deficiency in adults with identified risks, such as patients with malabsorption syndrome, chronic kidney disease – bone mineral disease (CKD-EMO). or any other identified risk.
• It is also used to treat bone loss (osteoporosis), along with other medications.
• Medicines containing corticosteroids can cause bone loss (osteoporosis, osteopenia). Hidroferol 0.266 mg capsules are used to prevent this bone loss caused by medicines containing corticosteroids together with other medicines

Instructions for use:

• It is recommended to take 1 tablet per day.
• The doses vary according to the person and indications. 
• Do not take more medicine or take it more often than directed by your doctor (weekly, biweekly, or monthly).
• Your doctor should check your calcium and vitamin D levels regularly, usually before you start treatment and 3-4 months after starting treatment.
