Ideos 500 MG/ 400 UI contains Calcium and Vitamin D3.

• Calcium ions are of crucial importance in the activation of biological systems. A lack of calcium in the blood increases neuromuscular excitability, while an excess reduces it. Oral calcium intake promotes the remineralization of the skeleton in the event of calcium deficiency.
• Colecalciferol is physiological vitamin D3, which is converted in the kidneys and liver to calcitriol, the active substance of vitamin D3. Calcitriol is responsible for absorbing the calcium and phosphate supplied by food from the intestine. 

The utilization of calcium and its reabsorption from the kidneys are also dependent on vitamin D. The substance promotes the mineralization of the bones and thus inhibits their breakdown.

Dosage of IDEOS 500 mg/400 IU chewable tablets:

• Adult
• Single dose: 1 chewable tablet
• Total dose: 2 times a day
• Time: morning and evening

The drug must not be used by patients with severe kidney dysfunction.
